A teaching from Pirke Avot (2nd century) on keeping institutions alive

אִם אֵין קֶמַח, אֵין תּוֹרָה. אִם אֵין תּוֹרָה, אֵין קֶמַח

Without fundraising, there will be no Torah.

Without Torah, what’s the point of fundraising?!
